Arc Apparel (plus a giveaway!!!!!)

Arc Apparel

I’ve always been a big believer in supporting local (as you probably know ;-)). When I discovered Arc Apparel on my Instagram feed, and learned their focus is responsibly sourced fashion, I clicked through immediately. A Vancouver based online store that carries a selection of quality brands for women’s fashion – all of which who take a sustainable approach in various ways. This movement of #dressresponsibly is where the fashion industry needs to go to ensure the health of our planet, and it is people like Arc Apparel Founder, Sarah Stewart who are doing her part (and very well!).

Sarah saw a gap in the market after working in the fashion industry. After taking some time to travel and connect with people across the globe, she felt inspired to do something different. She did her homework and began researching socially-conscious brands, and a short while later, Arc Apparel was born.

When I scrolled through the list of brands on her website, I was pleasantly surprised for two reasons; 1. There were brands such as Bella Dahl which I LOVE, but had no idea that their “Tencera” specialized fabric (which is incredibly soft) is fully biodegradable and environmentally friendly. 2. I discovered new labels, both Canadian and International. Learn about the brands here.

Take a look through the collection online and I promise you that there is something for everyone. Whether it be basics, denim, or pieces that take you from day to night, you are bound to add at least a few items to your cart ;-).

One of the newly discovered brands is Faithfull, from Australia. This Testoni shirtdress is an easy-to-wear Summer piece (that has pockets, always a bonus ;-)) made from 100% cotton. I really love the feel of this dress as it has some structure, yet it feels breathable while you’re wearing it. The material is slightly thicker, so there is no need to wear a slip underneath or worry about anything peaking through!

Matt & Nat has definitely made a name for themselves in the industry. They have been creating a collection of vegan leather goods since 1995 with a focus on nature, and social responsibility. Their #livebeautifully movement has gained them global recognition, and a loyal customer following.

The Mumbai backpack has adjustable straps, drawstring closure and is large enough to carry everything that you need in the day. Made from 100% vegan leather with a recycled nylon lining. And can we talk about this Koala colour??! LOVE. I am obsessed with the backpack trend lately!
