Some ladies are building a professional wardrobe, some are making adjustments to accommodate their new life at home with their littles, and some are finding a way to dress for both. Whatever it may be, I have my top 5 items that I recommend to almost every client, that can be used for any lifestyle. What are they, you ask?? Well, today I am spilling the beans.. Anthropologie v-neck camisole – these seamless tanks work under almost any sheer top. The elastene allows for stretch, but also holds everything in well. I love the v-neck; it sits low enough that you don’t have to have the camisole visible at all. More colours are available in store (including black, nude, etc.) Metallic bag – If you want one bag that can go with everything (even more so than black), metallic is your answer. I often recommend a brushed metallic that isn’t as bright, so that it may be used for both day and night, and throughout all seasons. Some great, inexpensive options here and here. Metallic or nude shoes – Much like the bag, if you are looking for fewer, better options, stick with a shoe that can go with almost everything. Metallic adds a fun, polished element to your look, while nude works to elongate your body. They are both completely versatile and can be worn with any colour in your wardrobe. More metallic options here and here, and nude options here and here. Great fitting blazer – Everyone can use a blazer in their wardrobe, regardless of age, and lifestyle. It can be worn for work, over a dress when going out, with a t-shirt and jeans for a sophisticated take on casual wear, and in lieu of a jacket in the warmer months. The key is to find one that fits. Make sure the sleeves do not go past your wrist (to create a more tailored look), and take note of the length. Some body types can do the more oversized look, where others are better off with a classic, more fitted cut. I have linked my current favourite above. A few more options are here, here and here. Linen blend t-shirts – A luxe spin on a classic. Linen blend t-shirts wear better; they are breathable and do not lose their shape in the wash (well most, depending on brand). The material appears more chic, which makes taking your t-shirt from day to night that much easier. A few more options here and here.
