Last year Scott and I started a new tradition. As neither of us have a company Christmas party to attend, we felt like we were missing out. There was no excuse before Christmas to get dressed up and go out for a nice dinner, so we decided we would create our own holiday party… for two. It’s called the “Annual Dempster Company Christmas Party”. We celebrate us as a couple, and what we have accomplished in the Year. We are always so busy, working hard to build our careers and provide for our family. Most often the hustle of everyday life leaves us exhausted, and without spare time to really just unplug, and talk. This gives us an opportunity to relax, enjoy some good food and wine (and not have to clean up, bonus!), and celebrate what we have accomplished in the Year, as a team. A well deserved night out, and of course, an excuse to get dressed up 😉
I found this vegan suede dress from Aritzia last month during the Black Friday sales. I was so excited to wear it, and intentionally saved it for this special occasion. Although it is quite a form fitting piece (which is not what I usually go for), it still has some stretch to it. I pretty much refuse to wear anything completely structured around this time of year because it’s a time to indulge, and who wants to feel restricted?? 😉
I am so pleased to have crossed paths with Meaghan Gipps. She is an unbelievably talented photographer and videographer in Vancouver. Thank you to Meaghan for capturing this look on a perfect, crisp winter day in our beautiful city!
