I am always on the hunt for new breakfast recipes that are healthy, quick and easy. I tend to just throw some veggies and fruit in our vitamix and call that breakfast, but often times that means there is no protein in the morning, which is extremely important to start the day off right.

I came across this recipe on Pinterest, and I must share it with you! I even made it this morning and loved the flavour profile. If the idea of mixing nut butter and fruit is not your cup of tea, here are more smoothie bowl recipes that you may enjoy!

Smoothie Ingredients

  • almond milk (the recipe calls for soy but I used almond)
  • banana
  • raspberries (fresh or frozen for the smoothie blend)
  • almond butter (or any other nut/seed butter of your choice)
  • ice

Blend smoothie ingredients together in blender. Pour into bowl; top with granola, fresh strawberries & raspberries (or any other berries of your choice) and sprinkle with shaved coconut. Serve immediately, and enjoy!
